Plan A Visit
Northwest Seaport's historic vessels are located in Seattle's Lake Union Park, just north of downtown. The tugboat Arthur Foss, Lightship No. 83, and troller Twilight are moored on the Historic Ships Wharf with other vessels. Northwest Seaport has several recurring opportunities to experience its historic vessels:
Tours
Group tours of the tugboat Arthur Foss are available by appointment at a rate of $5 per person ($2 for students and seniors). Tour accomodates up to 12 people, lasts approximately 45 minutes, and involves climbing ladders. Please call or email to schedule a tour.
Chantey Sings
This family-friendly event is led by a chantey-man (or woman) and you -- the audience -- sings the chorus or leads a song. The call-and-response form of these sea-going working songs makes them easy to learn and fun to sing. Free and open to all. Held in the Lake Union Park area. Tugboat Overnight Experience
Ever wanted to stay aboard a tugboat? Experience life aboard the historic Arthur Foss and learn about tugboats from the inside out. Whether staying one night for an authentic Seattle experience or living aboard during a workshop class, the Arthur provides both accommodations and a slice of Puget Sound maritime history.
All participants may take advantage of standard tugboat crew amenities including flush toilets, hot showers, heat, and bed linens. Plan on bringing meals, a heavy blanket, ant oder necessities. Choose between crew (two bunks per room) and officer (single bed with desk) berths.

Tugboat Story Time
Join other pre-schoolers and parents aboard the Arthur Foss to listen to sea stories and maritime picture books read aloud. This free, drop-in program is organized by the Center for Wooden Boats.
Dates & times: every 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm
